Hmm. Well, is the sound from your reciever connected to your  pvr-250
line in (it should be)? If it is, then try this:

ivtvctl -Q

It should say something about "Audio Line In". If it says something
about "Tuner line in" instead, then do:

ivtvctl -A

and then

ivtvctl -q=X

where X is the number of "Audio Line In" as reported by ivtvctl -A.
