I have updated the 0.4.1 development subversion branch with the
workaround for this hardware problem. You can download a snapshot here:
http://ivtvdriver.org/viewcvs/ivtv/branches/0.4.tar.gz?view=tar

For those who are using 0.5.x: the 0.5.1 unstable development version
has also been updated but requires you to use the latest v4l
repository.

The sound problems only appear (according to the information from
Hauppauge) on NTSC PVR150 (and possibly PVR500) cards with tuner models
85, 99 or 112 (reported by tveeprom). The updated driver detects these
tuner models and activates the workaround. You should not have to do
anything yourself.

Please let me know how it goes. If it all works fine, then I think I'll
release 0.4.1 next week.

Note that if you upgrade to 0.4.1 that the firmware files are renamed
and moved to the hotplug firmware directory. See
http://ivtvdriver.org/index.php/Firmware for more information.

Regards,

        Hans
