Hans, I have the HcwMakoA.ROM firmware file you mention, and the website mentions (md5: 3a4803384f749d644ee1f1ca9dcb12fa) and I've had no sound on any channel since 0.3.5l. I am running 0.4.0 as built by atrpms.net. Here is my tveeprom output:
