Hi Hans, Yes this does appear to fix the issue distortion issue The ghost image I saw under the previous test at 0.4.1 appears to be gone. I tested with mplayer.
Another mythtv-user complained about similar issue under 0.5.1 and pvr-500 and it looks like 0.5.1 has the same code commented out However I ran into a new mythtv issue. Mythtv hangs after a second while watching live tv with the 0.4.1 driver. It eventually complains about the video and allows you to exit. This is not a ivtv issue so I'll report it to the mythtv-users list. This is different from the latest firmware timeout where the capture card is never opened. I am not running the svn release of mythtv so it may be fixed already. Thanks for the quick answer. > There aren't many changes that can cause something like this. In fact, I > can think of only one. Switch to 0.4.1, edit ivtv-streams.c, go to line > 975 and uncomment the lines: > > // if (atomic_read(&itv->capturing) == 0) > // ivtv_vapi(itv, IVTV_API_ENC_MISC, 2, 3, 1); > > And see if this fixes the problem for you.
