HI All,
I've got a strange problem with a new PVR-500.  It is the newer model with the Samsung tuners and I've read about the various problems and that these are new and unsupported, however, I was able to get KnoppMyth R26A running on the machine (a PIII 866 with an Aopen MB) with some success.  BUT, I can receive only channels 11 and below. (ok probably 13 and below based on frequencies).

So here is what I tried:
1) Scan my known broadcast frequencies (us-bcast, no cable) and see what is reported.  See Figure 1.  I ran a little script to try to tune to each channel in my area and found something puzzling:  The frequencies for the UHF channels don't appear to be correct.  Channel 20 is lower than channel 7!??!?!?  That explains why there is no signal....  any idea what is going on?  Is it a config problem (dmesg output below) or the newness of the driver?  Any ideas?

2) I ran ivtv-tune -l as well and the frequencies seem off in there as well...see figure 2 for output.

3) I ran ivtv-tune --freqtable=us-bcast --channel=50 and it tuned to a DIFFERENT frequency but still no signal.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# ivtv-tune --freqtable=us-bcast --device=/dev/video0 --channel=26
/dev/video0: 543.250 MHz

4) I ran out of ideas....got any?

Since this is the users list, I'll give you the users list answer :
1.  What happens if you don't specify the cardtype and tuner in your module options?  Does it auto-detect anything?
2.  How about with 0.4.1 instead of 0.4.0?

If you don't get results with either of these, then post to the ivtv-devel list with more information about the card so support can be added.
