I get those messages too. In my case it usually happens after tuning to 
a few different channels, when mplayer suddenly becomes choppy and I am 
forced to close it. It will keep running in the background and those 
same messages appear in my dmesg. (They may actually appear before I 
close mplayer as it starts getting choppy but I haven't checked that.)
