It's a known problem (http://ivtvdriver.org/trac/ticket/49). The ticket 
contains a description of a workaround (a small change in the code). I 
simply did not have the time to really look into it but I know it 
always happens after a DMA error: something goes wrong in the recovery 
of that error.
