I had the same issue when I installed the 0.4.1 drivers.  Watching recorded video worked fine, including transparent osd overlays, and recording new video off-line.  Live TV mode had problems channel surfing or any osd operations.  The system would hang then pop back to the mythtv app.  I've since rolled back to 0.4.0.

Need more information, like are you doing output through a PVR-350?   
This color key error happens every time I play anything with Myth on  
my nVidia card, but it could be an indicator of a problem in the  
xdriver if you have a PVR-350.

For the channel change problem, we'll need to see your dmesg output  
for ivtv, plus any module options.
