There isn't much documentation on this that I can find, but I wanted to share something I found. While looking for a userspace way to alleviate my issue with bug #55, I found that I get great video on my TV (with no interlacing artifacts) with the following combination of settings.
Note that I am using the xv/yuv output mode for video playback, not the mpeg2 decoder. 1) Use ivtvctl to set yuv-mode to 1 (progressive). (my input is NTSC on svideo 0) ivtvctl --set-yuv-mode=mode=1 2) Turn off deinterlacing in mythtv TV playback. Now, video output is clear, crisp, and has no interlace artifacts. This might be more obvious to others, but it wasn't to me. _______________________________________________ ivtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://ivtvdriver.org/mailman/listinfo/ivtv-users
