I just got the same kind of tuner myself (though I think mine is a PVR-150MCE), and I have the same issue with ivtv version 0.4.2 (tuner = 4, No Tuner). I have the same exact tuner listed in dmesg: TCL MFNM05-4. I tried changing the tuner type in the module options, and got some signals using 53, but the lower channels would not come in and the channel list was off by two. So maybe we need to wait until this is supported in a newer version?
