I've got a PVR-250 and a PVR-500 in a machine running RedHat Fedora Core 4 (kernel 2.6.15-1.1831_FC4). I'm using ivtv version 0.4.3.
When I playback shows in MythTV-0.19 at 1.5x speed (time stretching) on my XBox frontend I will get prebuffering pauses (and stuttering) if the recording came from the PVR-250. However, if the recording was originally recorded from either tuner of the PVR-500, then there is no problem. This leads me to conclude that there is something different about the way the ivtv driver encodes files on the PVR-250 vs. the PVR-500 cards that is resulting in this error. Maybe it's the VBI data? Can anyone help me to fix this?
