As you may have noticed both FC5 and the 2.6.16 kernel have been
released. This means that I'll try to make an ivtv-0.6 release for that
kernel as soon as possible.

What I'm going to do is to take what is currently the 'trunk' version of
ivtv and merge that into 0.6. It looks as if that will work without
problems, and the trunk also has support for some newer cards.

To my dismay I just noticed that the Samsung tuner patch didn't make it
into the 2.6.16 kernel. I'd have sworn that it was in, but looking at
the code I see that it is not. I want to add a source patch against the
vanilla kernel to fix this problem so people who make their own kernels
can easily apply it.

I'll also add a patch against cx25840 fixing the saturation problem and
a special type of ghosting problem that happens when switching from
NTSC to PAL. It was known that this would not be part of 2.6.16.

I hope that I can make an ivtv-0.6 available tomorrow. I can't guarantee
it though, I'll do my best. Probably this weekend I'll release an
ivtv-0.4.4 for kernels <= 2.6.15.

        Hans
