Hello, This is getting annoying ;) first i got a Asus A8V with a crappy VIA-chipset.. then i switched to a Abit UL8 with ULi M1689 chipset, and now it still dosn't work.
I started by installing 0.4.3 (i know i should try a newer version, but i don't think this problem was fixed anyway, since i guess it's hardware). The driver loads okay, but when i do 'cat /dev/video0 > blah.mpeg' the system resets after two seconds, no errors show up on screen. Then i tried booting with this cmdline: noapic nolapic pci=noacpi acpi=off irqpoll That made it stop crashing, but short was my happiness because it dosn't put out anything when i cat the video-devices to a file or play from them with mplayer. Furthermore i get these errors when i stop the capture: ivtv0 warning: ENC: REG_DMAXFER 2 wait failed ivtv0 warning: ENC: DMA still Pending while stopping capture!
