If this is with gcc 4.1 (or maybe 4.0), try to rebuild kernel and ivtv
module after applying a patch[1] to readd -fno-unit-at-a-time to the
CFLAGS. Got a pretty similar problem with PVR-350 and with PVR-500 if I
use the default kernel CFLAGS and gcc 4.1.
