I could be wrong, but I believe that most TV tuners have an audio
output that goes directly into the sound card, so in the radio program
you just adjust the volume of that input. IVTV radio output comes out
of a device (/dev/video24) in a raw digital format.

If you type "aplay -f dat < /dev/video24" in a terminal window and let
it run, gnomeradio will work for the tuning.
