My capture card was working beautifully prior to upgrading to the
2.6.16 kernel (and ivtv 0.6). Now, I'm having trouble launching
video.
After a reboot, launching mplayer gives sound, but no active video
(typically a dark screen; once, I got snow). I can ivtv-tune to
desired channel (again, sound but no video).
But ... If I do a "ivtv-encoder -frate 0" then I magically *do* get
video to play in mplayer. So ... I know things are generally
functional but there seems to be something missing in the
initialization sequence somewhere.
Separately, even after getting mplayer to show me video, I can't watch
live tv in mythTV. (console output below).
Any ideas what I might be missing in getting the video to come up normally?
Thanks in advance,
Paul

* I do have version 0.6.1 of (Debian) package "ivtv-utils", but this
looks a little suspicious to me (October 10, 2005? Is it really six
months old?):
