Hello,

Recently I bought a new pc with asus p5p800se board P4 630 processor and
pvr-500mce tv card. First, I tried to get the tv-card working with suse 10.0
with the rpm's from suse and tips from ivtvdriver.org for suse. The driver
seems to be loaded, but it does not work. Since there were a number of other
problems, e.g. (the graphics card?) sometimes blocked the pc completely.

I now tried installing the suse 9.3 32-bit version. I hoped that the
 stability for 32bit would be better and suse 10.0 would automatically
 install for 64 bit (x86_64). For suse 9.3 I downloaded ivtv-0.4.4 (also
 tried 0.4.3) and generally followed the instructions from ivtvdriver.org.
 Only the firmware I installed in /lib/firmware as HcwMakoA.ROM and
 ivtv-fw-enc.bin because this was recognized when loading the ivtv-driver.
 This is different from the instructions on the site.

>From the log it appears that (for suse9.3 - ivtv-0.4.4) the card is not
detected. For suse 10.0 the card was recognized. I included both logs
from dmesg for additional info.

Can anyone give me a clue how to get the card working?
