My firmware is the beta dated 4/17. I've tried it and it works much better than the old firmware. I still don't have all the kinks worked out (It still has some sound issues, but they happen less frequently and can be remedied by running ivtvctl -q 0). I wouldn't recommend upgrading unless you've had problems though.
