I read through your script, and I guess if I'm reading it right (Correct 
me if I'm wrong), that it only knows when /dev/video* is recording and 
not neccessarily when they change channels. I guess this would mean the 
problem could pop up again if you were recording something, and then 
immediately switched channels and recorded something else. The other 
issue is that I may be recording some movies through the RCAs as well.

I guess I was hoping that some of the programmers for IVTV would see 
this and be a little interested in finding what causes this (Because I 
can reproduce the error with Live TV everytime). I'll probably end up 
using some form the the ivtvctl -q 0 work around though.
