Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
I'm running Knoppmyth R5B7 on an athlon 650 Mhz system with a PVR-500
MCE. I have upgraded ivtv to 0.4.4 and am still having problems. If I
specify a tuner (Options ivtv tuner=50,50) I get most* of the channels,
but if I don't I get the "type 4" tuner not loaded and only one channel
works (the last channel I watched before reboot).
*Channel breakdown
2-56 Good
57 Flickers
58-61 Pure Static
62+ Good
I have read that people we adding aliases to their modprobe.conf (or
/etc/modprobe.d/KnoppMyth in Knoppmyth) to get it working so I tried:
alias char-major-81-0 ivtv
alias char-major-81-1 ivtv
alias tveeprom tveeprom-ivtv
alias tuner tuner-ivtv
alias tda9887 tda9887-ivtv
alias msp3400 msp3400-ivtv
And just about every combination of the above. When I have tveeprom
aliased it recognizes the tuner as type 68, but then later gives me the
error "Failed to load module tuner"
Here is my init ivtv with (tuner,tveeprom...etc) aliased.
