Hello,

I also had this issue.

I am using Linux raid (mdadm) and with a 6 drive array it would always
spit out that error when writing from the hauppage to the raid array
(ie, recording video).

After endlessly trying to balance my irq's, trying all combinations of
manual assignments, no acpi, no apic, no-usb, vise-versa, etc. Nothing
seemed to work. I even tried different OS's (knopp myth, ubuntu dapper,
slackware).

In the end I am not sure if it was being caused by my highpoint sata
card (on board) or the ivtv unit. If I use them together they just
don't work, but the array functioned perfectly all other things set
aside. So now I only have a 4 disk array that uses only ide channels on
my Intel controller, the array is a bit smaller but it works fine.

Good luck

-scott
