There has been a lot of questions from people upgrading to kernel
2.6.16 and ivtv 0.6. I think this might be something for the faq. Can
someone with wiki access add the text below (feel free to edit it) to
the faq or some other page in the wiki? I'm not sure about the
location of the modules, though. Do some distros put them in other
places?

Q: I upgraded from kernel <= 2.6.15 and ivtv <= 0.4.x to kernel >=
2.6.16 and ivtv >=0.6.0. Why doesn't my card doesn't work anymore?

A: Since ivtv 0.6.0 the following modules that used to be provided by
ivtv are moved into the kernel: saa7115, cx25840, saa7127 and wm8775.

The modules should be located in /lib/modules/`uname
-r`/kernel/drivers/media/video/

If you are compiling your own kernel and the modules are missing, make
sure 'Add support for additional audio chipsets' (VIDEO_AUDIO_DECODER)
and 'Add support for additional video chipsets' (VIDEO_DECODER) are
enabled during kernel configuration.

If you are using a kernel package and the modules are missing, file a
bug report to your distro an ask them to include the modules.

Regards,
Petter
