Well, it's hard to know. I haven't been able to capture a recording at all with ivtv-0.6.2. I only get zero sized files, and firmware timeout when ctrl-c to abort the capture. But I got perfectly fine colors when capturing with earlier versions of ivtv (I had timeout issues with these versions as well, but I the first capture usually worked ok).
