You should (probably) always use the latest firmware. SuSE 10.1 uses the
2.6.16 kernel, so you'll need the 0.6.2 version of ivtv (or the subversion
trunk if you're feeling brave). There aren't really any packages to speak
of.
Most/all of the info you need should be on the ivtvdriver.org website.
