I'm looking at firmware.tar.gz, and its contents are:

-rw-r--r-- hverkuil/ivtv 262144 2006-05-26 05:35:15 v4l-cx2341x-dec.fw
-rw-r--r-- hverkuil/ivtv 376836 2006-05-26 05:35:15 v4l-cx2341x-enc.fw
-rw-r--r-- hverkuil/ivtv 16382 2006-05-26 05:35:15 v4l-cx25840.fw
-rw-r--r-- hverkuil/ivtv 155648 2006-05-26 05:52:45 v4l-cx2341x-init.mpg

Yet, if I run ivtvfwextract.pl against pvr250_18a_inf.zip, I end up:

-rw-rw-r-- 1 mrsam mrsam 262144 Jun 4 15:29 ivtv-fw-enc.bin
-rw-rw-r-- 1 mrsam mrsam 262144 Jun 4 15:29 ivtv-fw-dec.bin

Additionally, in pvr150_20_35_23348.zip, the HcwMakoC.ROM file, which, according to Wiki, should be installed as v4l-cx25840.fw, is 12282 bytes long, and not 16382.

All the Hauppauge ZIP files were downloaded from http://hauppauge.lightpath.net/software, and their md5sums are:

b0b417de77caab17ac4ae51858d44625 pvr150_20_35_23348.zip
173c5ce2c0f16da42a5316ef7cee6834 pvr250_18a_inf.zip
