ivtv-detect only shows my bttv device.  There is no ivtv module to modprobe but the adv7170 is there so I modprobed it.  ivtv-detect still gives the same bttv info.  Perhaps the following terminal output will be helpful.

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ lsmod |grep adv7170
