OK. I've worked on this some more. If I boot into windows and use my tv card for a bit, then boot into Mandriva, my card is detected and I can successfully get sound and picture with
cat /dev/video0 > /home/chris/Desktop/test.mpg I can even change channels and repeat the capture. However, if I run scantv, everything still shows up as "no station" THEN, nothing works at all. Can't do the capture test, nothing. I've used the ivtvctl command to specify /dev/video0, but that causes me to lose the cat test as well.
