I ran into the "It was working just fine yesterday, but today ivtv
driver can't load it's firmware!"

I run Debian whatever-unstable-is-called with a 2.6.14 kernel,
ivtv0.4.1, and pvr_1.18.21.22254_inf.zip firmware. I was running
hotplug, but now I'm running udev. I think that is the problem.
ivtv is not looking at /lib/firmware/ or /usr/lib/hotplug/firmware/

It is look at /lib/modules/ like it was way back when. When I copied all
of the files from /usr/lib/hotplug/firmware/ to /lib/modules/, modprobe
ivtv succeeded.

I'm not sure when I upgraded to udev but way before my last reboot, so I
don't know why ivtv couldn't load it's firmware, or why it is looking in
/lib/modules now.

Hope this helps.
