Hi everyone, I have a problem with my PVR-150 card. It is a PVR-150 MCE-kit. You can look at it here:
http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/products/data_pvr150mcekit.html According to this website: http://www.diy-pvr-dvr-htpc.com/index.php/Difference_Between_Retail_and_MCE_Hauppauge_cards the "box number" is 1062. Anyway, I was following this guide to install MythTv: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=186747 and I can't get past the IVTV part. Everything seems to work beautify up until the part where I actually test IVTV. To test I run the command mplayer -vo xv /dev/video0 and now I get a window with static. The static is not exactly what I would call "snow", rather its dark staticy lines with some random color lines thrown in there. So the first time I figured I did something wrong so I reformatted and started the guide over from scratch. Same thing happens. I try changing the channel using ivtv-tune -c # -d /dev/video0 and that doesn't do anything. It doesn't even flicker, like you might expect if you were flipping through static channels on your tv. Also when I plug the coaxial cable in and out, I see no visual change. So to play around, I plug my gamecube into the composite input and after much research, I change the input source using the command ivtvctl -p # and get it to look at the gamecube. Yay it works! But I still can't get the coaxial input to work, which is the whole point. I tried playing around some more and doing things like using the files from here: http://dl.ivtvdriver.org/ivtv/firmware/firmware.tar.gz but I dont think that made a difference. So I guess my question is how can I get the "tuner" part of my card to work?
