After misadventures with 0.6.2 from ATrpms, I compiled and installed 0.6.3-pre, with the same unfortunate result, a -12 error on initialization.

Firmware is installed in /lib/firmware/ and the md5sums check out.  I notice that ivtv says is loads 262144 bytes, although I show that the -enc file is bigger than that:

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 262144 Jun 20 22:18 /lib/firmware/v4l-cx2341x-dec.fw
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 376836 Jun 20 22:18 /lib/firmware/v4l-cx2341x-enc.fw

Result of lspci:

00:0a.0 Multimedia video controller: Internext Compression Inc iTVC15 MPEG-2 Encoder (rev 01)
Subsystem: Hauppauge computer works Inc. Unknown device 4801

        Memory at e8000000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=64M]
Capabilities: [44] Power Management version 2

I notice that my network and sound cards both on the same IRQ as my HP250.

My motherboard chipset is SiS 760.  I'm running Fedora Core 5 with 2.6.16-1.2133_FC5 (x86_64 version).
