SVN.  I have the stock kernel, with sources, and have followed the official how-to.  It is a clean install and I've even gone back to a clean install of SuSE 10 - no luck.  I am currently trying again with a clean install of 10.1 and the output for 0.6.2 stable with kernel is below:

I've heard of a 0.6.3 pre-release version that may solve this problem but can't find it (it should be included in the SVN tarball, correct)?  Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

The above error message gives you the exact file and the line that could not be compiled.

It would've been helpful for you to actually copy the surrounding snippet of code into your message, saving others the trouble of looking it up.

In this case, ivtv-osd.c's line 490 reads:

MODULE_PARM(ivtv_fb_card_id, "i");

This is obviously a macro. This error message often occurs when the macro is not defined, or the macro is broken.

Looking at my copy of 2.6.16's source (it's not SUSE's), MODULE_PARM is defined in the file include/linux/module.h, in the section of code that begins at line 557. It's not 100% clear where your problem is, but you can start by looking at your copy of module.h, as a starting point.
