A short update:
I've just release ivtv-0.4.6 and ivtv-0.6.3 for kernels <= 2.6.15 and
2.6.16 respectively. I hope to release ivtv-0.7.0 tomorrow for kernel
2.6.17. More information when I release ivtv-0.7.0.
The new MPEG encoding API has been accepted into v4l-dvb and should
appear in kernel 2.6.18, together with a cx2341x module that will be
extended further to become the central module dealing with the
cx23415/6 MPEG chips. This means that the same code will be used by
ivtv, pvrusb2 and cx88-blackbird, all MPEG cards using this chip in
different configurations.
This is a big step towards getting the driver into the kernel.
