Hi Hans,

I've been able to check a recording from the composite input (composite 5
according to ivtv): Unfortunately, it's the same story. Video but no
sound. The 2.6.17 msp3400 driver seems to do a better job of figuring out
the audio standard, though, as it shows something, but I think it should be
stereo rather than mono.

Here's the log-status during recording:

ioctl VIDIOC_LOG_STATUS ok
   ivtv0: =================  START STATUS CARD #0  =================
   tuner 2-0061: Tuner mode: analog TV
   tuner 2-0061: Frequency:       181.25 MHz
   tuner 2-0061: Standard:        0x00003000
   saa7115 2-0021: Audio frequency: 48000 Hz
   saa7115 2-0021: Input:           Composite 5
   saa7115 2-0021: Video signal:    broadcast/DVD
   saa7115 2-0021: Frequency:       60 Hz
   saa7115 2-0021: Detected format: NTSC
   msp3400 2-0040: MSP4448G-A2 rev1 = 0x0117 rev2 = 0x3042
   msp3400 2-0040: Audio:    volume 58950
   msp3400 2-0040: Standard: 4.5  M BTSC-Stereo (mono, dual)
   msp3400 2-0040: Audmode:  0x0001
   msp3400 2-0040: Routing:  0x00222220 (input) 0x00000044 (output)
   msp3400 2-0040: ACB:      0x0c00
   ivtv0: ==================  END STATUS CARD #0  ==================

On my x86 system, the sound returned after a brief powerdown. The sound
remains active after a few test recordings.

Thanks,
Jason
