Sorry about the late reply - I had my PVR-500 in for RMA, since the
second tuner had an unclear image.
dmesg reports firmware load errors ("dmesg | grep firmware"):
ivtv0: loaded v4l-cx2341x-enc.fw firmware (262144 bytes)
ivtv0: loaded v4l-cx2341x-dec.fw firmware (262144 bytes)
ivtv0: loaded v4l-cx2341x-init.mpg firmware (155648 bytes)
cx25840 1-0044: unable to open firmware v4l-cx25840.fw
ivtv1: loaded v4l-cx2341x-enc.fw firmware (262144 bytes)
cx25840 2-0044: unable to open firmware v4l-cx25840.fw
ivtv2: loaded v4l-cx2341x-enc.fw firmware (262144 bytes)
I did not notice the "unable to open" messages before now.
I am using the drivers suggested on the page
http://ivtvdriver.org/index.php/Firmware_versions - The first link under
"0.3.9+ drivers":
ftp://ftp.shspvr.com/download/wintv-pvr_250-350/inf/pvr_1.18.21.22254_inf.zip
I noticed, that "audio" is stated below that link - do I need to install
both (how?), or pick another driver?
I tried reinstall the firmware, but it did not help unfortunately.
