I got the PVR-500 to work in MythTV, but it's having some troubles and
locking up mythbackend. So bad, in fact, that I have to reboot the
machine. Things work ok at first, then as soon as I exit "Live TV" and
go back in, I just get a blank screen. I can't switch inputs or
anything. Closing out mythfrontend, I can see that the mythbackend
terminal window is frozen. A reboot is the only thing I can do to get it
working again.

Anyone experienced(ing) this behavior with the PVR-500 and mythtv?
