Hi I have this working by using the patch that is attached to gentoo bug report: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141841 Note comment #13 though. The patch misses a '{' after an else statement With the patch I have lirc-0.8.0-r4 and ivtv-0.7.0 working on linux-2.6.17-gentoo-r4
