Hi Rey, List, I'm sorry about the broken threading - my email client decided that the post-separator was a signature separator, and cut everything beneath the first post of the digest away, so I had to improvise.

I assume that if PIO is used, the DMA engine on the card won't have a chance to malfunction :-) If any of the developers are reading this - an actual fix would still be useful, tho. CPU usage is significantly higher now than before the upgrade. It would be interesting to hear if this is believed to be an SMP issue or a 2.6.17-issue or what.
