Hello,

I am a Linux n00b and am attempting to load MythTV on SUSE 10.1 using a PVR-150.

The problem I am having is that I am unable to get ivtv to work.  I believe my kernel is 2.6.16 and so I am using the ivtv 0.6.3 driver.

According to the instructions (http://www.ivtvdriver.org/index.php/Howto ) I have performed these steps as well as installed the firmware.
What are the proper paths for which the driver and the firmware should reside?  The instructions suggest finding a “firmware.agent” file that should point to the firmware hotplug path.  However, I am unable to locate said file within my SUSE 10.1 installation.

Also, what are the file names that should be modified to insert:

“alias char-major-81 videodev”
“alias char-major-81-0 ivtv”

Is the /etc/modules.conf file the correct one?

How about the file that a user must just insert  “ivtv”.

Every time I execute “modprobe ivtv” I get a Fatal error, ivtv not found.
This is even after the recommended reboot of the system.

Thanks in advance for your help.
