I have the same card but without the remote. How does it work for you,

I found that the volume is very low compared to the pvr350 and the rest
of the system (music for example). You can set the volume with ivtvctl.
$ ivtvctl -y volume=65000 -d /dev/videoX #(I set it to 70000).

Hans, if you read this, can you set the default volume higher for the
PVR500 with samsung tuners? 69000 or 70000 is close to the volume of my
PVR350.
