Do the 'popping' noises correspond to messages in the kernel log?

        Hans

Hello Hans,
No, there are no corresponding messages when the popping occurs, however
I've noticed that it's only encoder 1 that is doing it (encoder 0 seems
to be working just fine) and I also noticed that I had a DMA Error
before making the recordings here:

Aug 26 16:49:10 localhost kernel: [106205.579275] ivtv0 warning: ENC:
(0) DMA Error 0x0000000b 00020001
Aug 26 16:49:10 localhost kernel: [106205.579566] ivtv0 warning: ENC:
(1) DMA Error 0x0000000b 08020001
Aug 26 16:49:10 localhost kernel: [106205.580073] ivtv0 warning: offset
0 -> 128
Aug 26 16:49:10 localhost kernel: [106205.741302] ivtv0 warning: offset
128 -> 0

Where the log says "ENC: (1)" on the second line...does this mean
Encoder 1?. Encoder 0 was recording at that time, but encoder 1 was
not. After seeing this, any further recordings on encoder 1 had the
popping noises in the audio. A reboot has cleared the issue for the moment.

Regards,
Keehan.
