Hello, I am having problems with ffwd and rewind in mythtv when using the output of the PVR-350. Fast-forwarding at 3x works as expected. When I choose a faster speed, it continues to move faster, but the image freezes while that is happening. When I press play again, the image un-freezes, and it is now in the correct position that I fast-forwarded. This isn't a big deal. The only problem is that I can't see where I am in the program when fast-forwarding at a speed higher than 3x.
Rewinding is more of a problem. Rewinding at any speed exhibits the same problem I described above. It moves backwards in the program, but I cannot see the program while it's rewinding. What's worse is that when I stop rewinding, the program proceeds to move forward at a VERY slow pace for a while (usually a matter of 10-20 seconds or so), and then it resumes playing at normal speed. During the very slow playback, I receive the following messages in the mythfrontend log: 2006-09-07 23:05:07.032 extra step 1 at 2162 2006-09-07 23:05:08.600 extra step 1 at 2162 2006-09-07 23:05:10.124 extra step 1 at 2162 2006-09-07 23:05:11.656 extra step 1 at 2162 2006-09-07 23:05:13.397 extra step 2 at 2163 2006-09-07 23:05:14.957 extra step 2 at 2163 2006-09-07 23:05:16.485 extra step 2 at 2163 2006-09-07 23:05:18.009 extra step 2 at 2163 2006-09-07 23:05:19.761 extra step 3 at 2164 2006-09-07 23:05:21.281 extra step 3 at 2164 2006-09-07 23:05:22.833 extra step 3 at 2164 2006-09-07 23:05:24.353 extra step 3 at 2164 2006-09-07 23:05:26.089 extra step 4 at 2165 2006-09-07 23:05:27.609 extra step 4 at 2165 2006-09-07 23:05:29.161 extra step 4 at 2165 Is this a known problem? I remember that there were rew/ffwd problems with ivtv a long, long time ago, but I assume things have changed enough since then that this is a different issue. Any suggestions?
