Hi, I'm trying to load the 0.4.6 driver on a Kubuntu dapper installation.
'make' and 'make install' go fine. Trying to load the ivtv module with modprobe (after depmod) gives the following though: modprobe ivtv FATAL: Error inserting ivtv (/lib/modules/2.6.15-26-386/ivtv/ivtv.ko): Invalid module format dmesg gives the following message: ivtv: version magic '2.6.15-26-386 preempt 486 gcc-4.0' should be '2.6.15-26-386 preempt 486 gcc-4.0' There's a second space between the first '386' and 'preempt', which I think might be what's causing the problem. I haven't the first clue about how to fix this, however. I've tried sticking an extra space at EXTRAVERSION in /usr/src/linux/.config, but this leads to errors during 'make install'. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. -- _______________________________________________ For the largest FREE email in Ireland (25MB) and 20MB of online file storage space - Visit http://www.campus.ie _______________________________________________ ivtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://ivtvdriver.org/mailman/listinfo/ivtv-users
