I tried with another option but it is failing, any idea how to get it or how to get Closed Captions embeded with the video

$ ivtvctl -W
ioctl IVTV_IOC_G_VBI_PASSTHROUGH ok
VBI passthrough mode is 00000000

$ ivtvctl -w cc
ioctl IVTV_IOC_S_VBI_PASSTHROUGH failed: Invalid argument

These are all the settings I have for ivtv driver. I thought of posting those to give you some idea.

$ ivtvctl -X
ioctl IVTV_IOC_G_VBI_EMBED ok
vbi embedded in MPEG stream: on

$ ivtvctl -B
ioctl VIDIOC_G_FMT ok
vbi service_set = 00001000

$ ivtvctl -W
ioctl IVTV_IOC_G_VBI_PASSTHROUGH ok
VBI passthrough mode is 00000000
