I'm trying to get my new pvr-500 (with samsung tuners) working with ivtv 0.4.7 and kernel 2.6.10
I'm using this firmware : v4l-cx2341x-dec.fw / v4l-cx2341x-enc.fw / v4l-cx2341x-init.mpg / v4l-cx25840.fw / v4l-pvrusb2-24xxx-01.fw / v4l-pvrusb2-29xxx-01.fw
The card (and tuners on it) seem to be detected just fine (see below dmesg), ivtv utils like changing channel and setting input seem to work,
but any produced mpg file is 0 bytes.
It's very possible this is due to the kernel version, which is very old. I need this version because this system is part of a cluster.
Anyone else with problems like this ? could this be the kernel or do i need different firmware or ivtv driver ?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
