Did you try disabling any cpu power management that you may have running?

Before I send a detailed post about the issue i'm seeing, i just wanted to ask the list if it is generally accepted that there is an ongoing issue with DMA errors?  FYI, my overall configuration is:

  -  kernel: 2.6.18-1.2200.fc5 #1 Sat Oct 14 16:59:26 EDT 2006 i686 athlon i386 GNU/Linux
  -  ivtv: 0.8.0
  -  capture card: hauppauge pvr-150
  -  motherboard: a8n-vm csm (nvidia 6150)
  -  cpu: amd 64 3200
  -  memory: 1 gig (2 x 512DDR)
  -  mythtv: 0.20.20060828-3

i see other discussion threads on the subject with no conclusive solution.  i've also read comments from Hans that DMA issues are not going away until there is a rewrite for merging into the kernel.

the question i've got is what do i fall back to regain stability?  i was on FC4 experiencing relative stability for many months.  i cant say the exact ivtv driver version i was using.  when i upgraded to FC5 and the latest of everything then the DMA errors started and have made mythtv unusable.

Thanks for any advice,
-Greg
