I get a solid black video (from cat /dev/video0 > test.mpg; mplayer
test.mpg) with full functioning audio. Before the upgrade to edgy
everything worked fine. I tried a few video players and they all gave
the same results.

After upgrading from ubuntu dapper (6.06) to edgy (6.10) and following
these instructions:

http://ivtvdriver.org/index.php/Howto:Ubuntu

With the exception of:
1) using ivtv0.7 instead of 0.4
2) I copied the firmwares over from /lib/2.6.15-23-686 to 2.6.17-10-generic

Everything else to me seems to be normal. Attached is the info from
dmesg, lsmod, lspci, uname -a, ivtvctl --log-status, /etc/modules,
/etc/modprobe.d/aliases, and /lib/firmware/2.6.17-10-generic.

I tried turning the power off for 30 sec and then rebooting but it
didn't fix the problem. I don't have one of those buggy via
motherboards either. Note that "ivtv --log-status" returns:

[17180103.088000] saa7115 0-0021: Video signal: bad

There is only one saa7115.ko module in the kernel's /lib/modules directory.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
