And indeed it did. I went to: http://www.ivtvdriver.org/index.php/Firmware and followed the installation instructions using the firmware.tar.gz extracted files. # ./ivtvlog.sh | grep firmware Dec 13 19:23:57 mediaone kernel: ivtv0: loaded v4l-cx2341x-enc.fw firmware (262144 bytes) Dec 13 19:23:57 mediaone kernel: cx25840 3-0044: loaded v4l- cx25840.fw firmware (16382 bytes) Dec 13 19:23:57 mediaone kernel: ivtv1: loaded v4l-cx2341x-enc.fw firmware (262144 bytes) Dec 13 19:23:57 mediaone kernel: cx25840 4-0044: loaded v4l- cx25840.fw firmware (16382 bytes) And now I have sound. The problem was installation error apparently - rpm or otherwise(!). Thanks for taking the time to look at the problem with me. -m _______________________________________________ ivtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://ivtvdriver.org/mailman/listinfo/ivtv-users
