Yeah, this confirms what I heard recently: that they have a small
utility to turn on/off the LNA bit of the tuner. The datasheets (at
least the PAL datasheet) describe an algorithm to determine
automatically whether the LNA should be on or off, but the info I
received from Hauppauge indicates that the cards lack the hardware to
actually make this work.
So basically the Samsungs are crappy tuners.
