I hope you have some suggestions...  ;-)  In the meantime, I have
noticed that if I minimize mythfrontend, the video picture "bleeds
through" any desktop shortcuts, so I can see parts of it. As a
workaround, does anyone know a way to create an image or something I
could put on the desktop to achieve the same effect?
