Hi, I have also had this issue, with PVR-500s. Rev E487 (Conexant CX23416-22 - assembled in Indonesia) and Rev E587 (Conexant CX23416-12 assembled in Singapore). Both cards work under Windows XP. The firmware files were in the correct place and were the right size (using Gentoo, for both the latest ivtv and the previous version.) I still haven't found a solution, but now Daniel's mentioned it and I thought that he (and everyone else) should know he's not the only one.
